Full Stack Software Engineer
Engineer, gamer, book nerd, Pokémon trainer... making code as fun as it should be.
About
I'm a full-stack software engineer whose coding journey started on Neopets and Myspace, and escalated to modifying LAN games so I could always beat my brother in Red Alert. Somewhere along the way, I caught Pokémon, built scalable web apps, and learned that a well-timed debug can feel just like a critical hit.
I've been coding professionally since 2018, starting with AI-driven platforms and leveling up to building accessible, scalable software across front-end architecture, APIs, and AI integrations. I care about accessibility, ethical technology, and making software that's as fun and usable as it is robust.
I'm Canadian by birth, American by circumstance, and Australian by choice. Living and working across countries has given me a huge appreciation for how lucky I am to do work I love in places that have shaped who I am.
When I'm not coding, you'll usually find me:
- Scuba diving or traveling
- Nose-deep in a book (LOTR, ToG, ACOTAR, Fourth Wing, Quicksilver… my Kindle is rarely far away)
- Playing Pokémon on my Switch or adventuring in Ark and Fable on Xbox
- Hanging out with my rescue dog, Buddy
I try to keep my writing and my code human, because nothing screams "AI" like perfectly punctuated em-dashes and over-polished sentences. Although AI is a fantastic parter in crime on many coding adventures (just be sure to update your "skills" list to include accessibility and test often!)
If you want to talk code, Pokémon, or the best fantasy plot twists, we'll get along famously.
